This book gives a very basic understanding and analysis of ECG. Description of various abnormalities that can be seen in an ECG tracing is given in simple terms. The book will be useful for the final year students, interns and postgraduates of medical and paramedical courses. Also, it will serve as a refresher to the practicing physicians. The book is divided into 13 chapters. The first chapter briefly describes the basic concepts in ECG and subsequent chapter discuss a particular aspect of ECG with practical examples and ECG tracings. The main focus of this book is on identifying the abnormalities in the ECG tracing and their causes and not on the clinical diagnosis. However each tracing has been given a clinical background to make it interesting and practical. The ECG analysis is presented in a multiple choice format followed by discussion of the correct answer. The book has a wide collection of ECG tracings to illustrate the abnormalities commonly seen. The synopsis section at the end is a summary of all the ECG concepts and will serve as a quick revision.
